  • Having the same issue.  Anymore info needed then just the MGADIAG file?  Also, only application installed was McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8 removed and tried again same problem with activation.

  • It has nothing to do with the dvd.  It is the product key.  If the organization has a volume license you need to connect to the network and activate with the KMS server on the network.  Otherwise you will have to purchase a retail copy of Windows 7 Professional in order to get a retail key.  If you do you will not have to reinstall Windows.  Just change the product key on the System Propeties page (at the bottom).  If you purchase any other edition you will have to reinstall.

  • You are using a volume license key

     Windows License Type: KMS Client

    and need to contact the organization that issued you the key for instructions for reactivation.

  • The guy that installed this is no longer with the organization and he took the CD with him. Legal action is being taken against him for theft.  However, I still need to be able to at least fix this issue until then. Is there anything I can do or should I contact Microsoft directly and see if we can get a replacement CD?  Just trying to save the school money.
