So I know if you pass your first MCP exam Microsoft sends you an MCP Certificate (well for the old exams) and for the newer MCTS exams you only get the MCTS Certificate. So here is my questions.

If someone were to start from scratch and take 70-620 which will earn them the MCTS then after its completion they took 70-290 for example would they still get the older MCP Certification since its still the first cert in the old  program? Or because they are now already an MCP having taken the 620 cert will Microsoft not offer to send the MCP certificate.

    Did that make any sense?

    Stephen,

It's my understanding that when you apply for your welcome kit in your scenario, the following will occur:

1.) You will receive a MCTS certificate for Configuring Vista

    and

2.) An MCP certificate for the 70-290 completion.

So in essence, one could display MCTS, MCP.

    Hey Michael,

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've been busy working on 3 different SharePoint Projects and a Security+ Book. That was my understanding too, but I wanted someone else's opinion. Thanks for the reply. And I would imagine you are correct since Ken marked your answer. Thanks Ken.
