    Hi Vegan,

    The current version of My.Live.com was not built with 64-bit Windows in mind, however, it is on the radar for future updates.  Unfortunately I can't provide an answer as to when that will be.

      Seems lots of programs do not work on x64 well. Itunes is an example, Live programs, MS Telescope, and there are many others.

      I bought x64 Windows when it came out and found that my programs run fine. That's mainly because I avoided managed code. I use native calls, and can build fine for x86 or x64 with the same code.

      I dislike .NET as it runs too slow for needs. So I stick to C++ as I often need to write code for non PC platforms.

      I use a Sun E10K occasionally as it has 64 cores, 56 available. It has 64 GB of RAM so its useful for a few programs that do not run on the PC due to limited RAM problems etc.

      Already a board has come to market that can use the 128 GB limit of XP x64. Its a quad processor board so I cannot use it, but the board has a PCIe x8 and a PCIe x16 slot so its useful for a workstation.

      I was using Windows for a web server, until August updates caused it to stop working. So I dumped Windows and now use Linux for my production server. Microsoft updates were the problem.

      Curiously, while 32-bit my Linux server can use 64 GB of memory. Only explanation is the use of the segment-registers. For this reason I am increasingly disappointed with Microsoft.

      A 64-bit CPU should be able to use 18 exabytes of address space. So 128 GB is a big limitation.

      To get iTunes to install I had to use ORCA to modify the MSI file to change the installer from Vista to x86. Checking the program after running it, its still a 32-bit program. So its a phoney 64-bit program.
