Proposed Answer Workflow fires twice

    Hi

    I have a plugin connected to a workflow that is activated when an attribute on a contact record is changed - unfortunately it fires twice every time. If I change the workflow to only work when manually run then it fires once as expected. Anyone also had this issue?

    It depends on what your workflow rule is trying to do. If your workflow rule is updating the record, then it may well update twice.

    Hi,

    Please check out your plugin too, it may possilbe that your plugin is getting called more than one and activates the workflow twise.

    Well to try and debug it I have created a simple workflow that doesn't involve any plug-in that just emails me. When I attach that to the contact object and the same attribute and make sure that there's no code in the form load it still fires twice? Looks very odd...

    Do you have the workflow set to fire ON Create and when the attribute changes?  if so, it will fire twice.

    It's only set to Attributes change. I'm guessing that our underlying audit plug-in is the cause of it but at this stage not sure how to determine if this is the case.

    Hi,

    Similar to what Donna suggested, when you have two or more attributes set to trigger the WF, if you change two of them, then the WF is triggered twice. I hope this helps. Let me know if this was a helpful tip.
