Address Book Question

9. dubna 2009 22:11I would like to input all the extensions, DIDs and mobile numbers for all employees into AD. I have done a few test and I don't see the numbers appear in Communicator even after a -syncNow. Does anyone have any pointers on this? I want everyone to be able to see each others numbers so we can have an easy access phone directory. Thanks!

9. dubna 2009 22:21ModerátorThere are a few more steps required in order to get changes in AD pulled into the OCS Address Book and then downloaded to the clients. The -SyncNow switch only syncronizes changes between the OCS SQL database and server-side ABS files. You'll need to start with a -RegenUR switch in order to replicate changes in AD over to OCS's SQL database first, then run -SyncNow again. Then you typically have to force clients to pick up a new address book if you want to see the changes immediately.

9. dubna 2009 22:42ModerátorYes, if the number strings are not properly normalized into E.164 format (e.g. +18885551234) then the OC client will not display them.
