Can I merge two contacts into one to create one single history? I have two contacts created for a single person, and I want to be able to merge these two histories. Thanks!

Dear ,
Only through CRM SDK Code, you can merge two contacts history, htere is no other way to get contact history and store into MS CRM other contact.

dear Shuanashy
In am Ideal Scenerio you must not have two dublicates or two Contacts information for a single Contact Info..So Crm doesnt allows you to merge two contacts. however you can customize the contact form to add the additional information for the contact.you can add feilds for additional info and store all information in a single contact

You absolutely can merge two contacts!
In any view that lists contacts, highlight exactly two contacts and then click the icon to the right of send direct mail on the toolbar - tool tip is Merge...
Note that you must select exactly two contacts (or accounts) and not more.
This brings up the Merge Records dialog box where you can choose which record will be the master and decide which field to take from each. The histories will be merged. The record that isn't the master will deactivated (rather than deleted).
There you have it, merged records with no programming.
It would be better of course not to have duplicated in the first place, so do check out the new feature in CRM 4.0 to help with this.
