I'm trying to install CRM4 Outlook client and got error "Setup cannot proceed because C:\Users|admin\AppData\Local\Temp\MSCRM_{xxxx}\ClientSetup.dll cannot be found or is incorrect.
I have 2010 Outlook 32bit installed on window 7.

Are you running the install from the local machine? i.e. do you have the install on the machine or are you running it from a share?
If it's on a share, try copying it locally then run again.

Yes. I run it locally .
I called the site http://dummy:5555 from my pc and downloaded the clientinstaller from right corner link of the site and installed it locally. Do I need to install it on server itself ?

17. března 2011 4:26Did you download and save the installation file locally? Maybe give that a try. Also right click the exe file and run as administrator. Let me know how you go.

I've tried that way already but it's still the same.
Another way I tried is that I removed the registry 'MSCRMClient' and try to install again but it also doesnt work. It appears (Not Responding) on the title bar of the program and nothing happened.

I came across this issue after uninstalling the CRM client and attempting to re-install. 'Using the CD' didn't work for me, the solution was to ensure that you log onto the client machine as the same user who performed the initial install before attempting to re-install. In my case, this was a different user.

Hi,
I got the same issue,...
I want to try the idea of Rob, but I've reinstalled windows 7 after my registry crashed. Before it crashed, CRM for outlook was working.
I even deleted the C: partition and reinstalled everything... so now, I wonder if there's another alternative than what Rob suggested..
Thanks!
