Unable to upload .docx files to MS CRM3.0

  Hi , i have created 2 forms in MS CRM 3.0 for creating cases and uploading files for the respective cases .
  
  my Issue is , when i run the forms on Vista OS and the files for upload have extension as  1) .docx 2) .xlsx , the case is getting created but the files are not getting attached into MS CRM 3 .0, but if the same files are saved as 1) .doc 2) .xls then the files are getting attached to their records in MS CRM 3.0.
  
  But when i run the forms from  any other system then all the files with any extension are getting attched to their records
  the MS CRM 3.0 does have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 2 .
  
  I have no clue what to do ,
