    Hi all,

     

    Anyone knows if its possible to configure CRM 2011 client into a Outlook that is connected to a Exchange server through RPC over HTTP?

    That is something i'd test because it seems like a very unusual situation.  I do know that CRM uses a completely different communications channel from the one Outlook uses to conenct to exchange; so how Outlook is communicating won't affect CRM.  As long as CRM is able to make http connections to the CRM server it will function properly.

    I've done it and seen it done many times.  There are no problems.  It really doesn't matter how Outlook connects to it's mail server.

    How did you do this? Was your CRM an IFD and did everyone use the FQDN to get there? Did you use RPC over HTTP?
