    The admin guide doesnt seem to have any information on the Content Snippets in the Content Management area.

    Can I do anything with these items and effect the Customer Portal?

    Can I add one? and would that give me a new field on the effected form?

    Portal Administration allows you to edit new content views via UI. It is easier to go through UI to create new additions on portal, let us know if you have some particular scenarios or if you are facing limitations where you are forced to do it through CRM.
