Locked laptop is slow after it's been idle.

    Hi, I have a cheap laptop running Windows 7 (64-bit), 2.20GHz, 3GB RAM.  It starts up fine and is fast enough while I'm doing anything on it.  But after it's been idle for a while (not sleeping or hibernating) it seems like it takes a reaaalllly long time for it to respond.  Are there any services I can disable or anything else I can do to speed this up?
