23. září 2009 4:12I have onecare and I keep tabs on the network activity all the time.
My home network is linked through onecare and the computer in question has an XP and is the hub computer for the onecare.
I keep the windows task manager open all the time to monitor Internet activity, incoming and outgoing traffic.
When the computer is ideal, there is some sort of a periodic outgoing bleep that varies in frequency from time to time and its no more than 1% on the chart.
is this a normal thing, is it related to the home network somehow or is it a bad sign that I need to have fixed?
thank you for help

It also periodically contacts the server to update status and check for updates. Personally, I would not use the task manager to monitor activity in this manner as your firewall blocks unsolicited inbound traffic as well as unapproved outbound traffic.
