1Care 2.0 Beta makes laptop slow in scanning

My laptop which has a 1.73 GHz CPU and 1 GB RAM has not been able to complete a virus scan of since I installed the 2.0 beta. It works but never gets past zero percent finished. I had it working all night and no go.
I had the regular Windows Live One Care 1.xxx on it for some time, since last year I believe, and it never had a problem completing a scan.
The two other pc's on my "circle" have not had a problem finishing scans, but both have newer CPU's, and so does this mean my older laptop (which I purchased in January 2006) cannot function with the new version?
I deleted most of the files from my HD and so there is almost zero files beyond the program and system files to scan. It seems my HD does not need defragmenting,

That should be adequate specs to run a scan, H.
I suggest contacting support and filing a bug to see if the cause of this problem can be determined. Another possibility would be to reinstall and verify that there are no conflicting security programs on the PC.

22. listopadu 2007 18:21I have 2 computers which are running the CPU at around 30% since the SP on One Care. What is the problem and how, if at all, can I resolve it? Thanks!

Contact support to have this investigated, reb39. There may be a conflict on your system, though I don't think 30% CPU is a problem.
