Unable to update credit card information for Windows Live ID/Hotmail

    Spørgsmål

  • I have received several e-mails labeled

IMPORTANT! Microsoft Account Update Required to Avoid Interruption in Service‏

Our billing credit card expiration date needs updating.  Everytime I try to go to the billing website, I get the following error. This Windows Live ID does not currently have a billing relationship with Microsoft. MSN offers a variety of services that you may subscribe to......

So I try to go to help msn as it suggests and I get an endless loop of suggestions but never a phone number to contact or can't find the account management page so I can update payment 'type', etc...

Is there a phone number that I can call and talk to a real live person on this?  I have spent hours going round and round.............

  • What service are you subscribed to? if only OneCare, ignore the messages as OneCare cannot be renewed anyway.

Do you have any subscriptions with Microsoft Billing/MSN/Windows Live/Xbox, Zune, etc?

If so, you need to sign in with the LiveID for the subscription account at https://billing.microsoft.com

If you get the error message about no relationship, that means you are signing in with the incorrect LiveID.

The phone number would vary depending on the service you subscribe to. If you are an MSN Internet Access subscriber, sign in with your primary signin account at http://support.msn.com

  • If your account is for Windows Live Hotmail Plus, go to http://windowslivehelp.com for Hotmail help and support as this forum is for Windows Live OneCare.
