Synchronization between Environments with Scribe
-
27. april 2012 17:47I've heard that you can synchronize settings, entities, workflows, etc from a CRM 2011 Test environment to a Prod environement...Has anybody else done this where the synchronization is continuous (incase another developer customizes something I don't know about) instead of a one-time on-demand sync? I think this would be extremely helpfu for a lot of companies/customers.

Although I can see how a continuous sync would be troublesome also so maybe just a sync that would occur overnight (while the system isn't in use)?

27. april 2012 19:13RedaktørI've heard of customer data being replicated between environments, but not settings and customizations. Anything that can be updated using the SDK methods could, theoretically, be replicated between environments but it's generally a very bad idea to automatically push everything from test into production continuously -- if you were that crazy you would just do your development in your production environment :)
