CRM 2011 outlook client configuration error: There is a problem communicating with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server

Hi All,
I have connected through VPN and i am able to access the CRM using IE without any issues. While configuring the outlook client i am getting the error. Below the log file for more info,

Yes i followed all you have mentioned, but nothing worked.
Is it possible to configure outlook client through VPN without configuring claims for CRM?
