    I've tried several times to submit the product key exactly as it is listed; however, a comment always appear stating I have the wrong product key

    Where did you get the product key? If you found it on the bottom of your computer, it is likely to be a Windows key. You will have to purchase one for Office (because most versions preinstalled on a new computer are trials).
