    I seem to be getting a lot of False Positives - so I am going to turn off the heuristic scanner it's causing me nothing but trouble.

    When I went to reinstall service pack 2 from CD, onecare kept telling me that all of it's temporary files were trojans, come on Microsoft this thing is false reporting major parts of your software which it should know are safe.

        Well this isn't really a problem I need help with or one I need to submit samples for.

        A) There seems to be a fundamental problem with the Heuristic scanning, if anything it is too sensitive and doen't seem to check against a list of known safe items.  Watching for virus like behaviour is good, but reporting that you have trojans when you don't is bad.

        B) There is no need for me to zip and send Service Pack 2 to Micosoft is there?  Don't they have a copy.  I don't believe that every MS computer is running Vista somehow!

        The reason I had to reinstall service pack two was that after I deleted one of these 'trojans' windows told me that important files had been altered and it needed to reinstall the originals from the Service Pack 2 cd rom, when I inserted it the dialog told me that this was the incorect disc (?) - anywhow I just thought I'd go the whole hog and reinstall it.

        Simply try reinstalling service pack two whilst having heurstic switched on and you'll see what I mean!
