Custom Fields created in My Timsheet VIEW ARE BLANK WHEN SENT FOR APPROVAL??

I have CREATED CERTAIN CUSTOM FIELDS in my Timesheet view which are of task level and cost type,such as travel cost,daily allow for team members to fill it up,the problem is that when team member fill that field in my timesheet and send there task status updates for approval to there project manager,all the custom fields does not have any value,they are blank ,only built in custom fields have values,project manager can see values entered in daily allow,travel cost,etc
if anyone has any idea plz lemme know

hi amit,
my problem is not that,my issue is that these custom fielda are blank when sent for APPROVAL to there project manager

Hi Anuj,
Did you check "Roll down, unless manually specified" in your custom task field definition? ? Timesheet shows fields on assignment level, so you need to make sure that task field values are available on assignment level. What is the service pack & version of project server?
Also, have Team memebrs already created timesheet before the custom task field was setup? If yes, recall/delete & recreate the same to test it further?

i have not selected "Roll Down,unless manually specified" checkbox,it is project server 2010
and previously i have added those custom field in 'MY TASK',but due to certain reason,i have shifted them to MY TIMESHEET,and yes some timesheet werw created before custom fields werr created

7. maj 2012 08:57Ok, In that case, did you recall/delete & re-create the same to test it further> Since timesheet is a like a snapshot of the data so when the Timesheet was created first , the snapshot didn't have any data of New custom field. After field creation, you may need to recall/delete & re-create & test.

yes it did work,but now i am facing another problem related to it
is it possible to track expense associated with each task in project server 2010? My situation is that
suppose a team member is allocated a task T1 which is of Duration 5 days,now he should be able to report his expense for all the 5 days related to task T1
For eg,During 1 day his Daily allow was 100,Travel charge was 200,Accomodation charge was 500
During 2 day his Daily allow was 60,Travel allow was 150 etc etc
Is it possible??
