What a lot of fun Songsmith is, particularly when it's supplemented with additional packs/"paks" from Garritan and PG Music! My first "polished" creative effort can be found here: http://home.comcast.net/~tjcw/ It's a joke of a song. My "singing" is also something of a joke: I'm trying to convey the character of a slightly pompous, feeble, 78-year-old gent who more or less bleats out the lyrics. Please forgive me on all counts. O Songsmith, the musical sins you have inspired!

Hello. I am new here.....so new I don't even know how to send a message and that's why I am replying to yours because that seemed self evident. So my question is.....I just bought Songsmith and I can't figure out how to use it. I am not too skilled with new stuff but I am currently using Adobe Audition and I am rather skilled with that, so I am not a total dunce. But I can't seem to get started with Songsmith. Are there any instructions? Thank you

Hi Myrna,
Suggest you start with the Microsoft "tutorial videos" for Songsmith provided here:
http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/songsmith/howto.htmlAfter that, if you have further questions, we can address them. Good luck and have fun!
