    When I open the WHS Console and click "Setting" the entire console closes.

    Any suggestions?

    Looks like it occurs while trying to get the settings of the firewall.

    Is it enabled/disabled? -> otherwise try changing it and seeing if it work.

    Are you having problems connecting to the network/internet from your server?

    Nick,

     

    Firewall is not running. When I click on it I get the message "Windows Firewall cannot run because the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service is not running." I have not changed any firewall setting in many, many months.

    No trouble connecting to the internet from the server or to the server from other systems on the LAN.

    Hi,

    if you have the Windows Firewall disabled, in certain conditions the WHS Console will crash.

    Recommended method:

    On the WHS desktop open te Services console (Control Panel/Administrative Tools), change the startup type of Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Service to Automatic and start the service.

    After that the console should work again.
