    Since we are not actually using Windows Home Server as a full PC and the typical end user is not going to be installing applications on it (Microsoft Office for example), is there any way to have home server display the icons and titles correctly for the files uploaded (What they were on the computer they came from)?

    For example:
    • Microsoft Word documents show up as a 'Wordpad Document' and has a Wordpad Icon.
    • Microsoft Excel Files show up as ' XLS File' with a generic icon.

      This is a nice feature request, but I don't think there is an easy way to accomplish this. The file type is read from the server based on the file extension and since those applications won't be present on the server, it would show the current registered type for that extension.

      Moving the thread to suggestions.
