    I followed the Getting Started instructions for Zentity and believe I ran everything successfully, however when I try to search for any president data it returns nothing and when I try to run the Pivot Viewer I receive this error "An error occurred while loading this collection. Please try again". Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

    You may visit this link http://community.research.microsoft.com/forums/t/6369.aspx for information on setting up accounts under Zentity which could a reason for this issue.  

    Also, check whether the Windows authentication for the Dataservice on IIS is enabled or not. In case if it not enabled please enable the same. 

    Please update whether this help you in resolving this issue.

    I solved the problem by activating the windows authentication and uncommenting in the \VisualExplorer\web.config file the following lines:

     

    <mimeMap fileExtension=".dzc" mimeType="text/xml" />
    <mimeMap fileExtension=".dzi" mimeType="text/xml" />

    1. How did you activate Windows Authentication?

    2. Did you have to use Active Directory or were you able to use Local Windows Machine user accounts?
