This computer has failed validation. Expand for details.

    Microsoft Office Professional 2007

The product(s) listed above completed validation. However, as a result of the failed or incomplete validation(s) listed below, this computer is not eligible for the benefits of genuine Office. Remove the application(s) that failed or could not complete validation and run the validation tool again.

Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007:
    Validation Failed

No valid Office key was detected. This is a strong indication that the Office product installed is not genuine.

  • Hello Mrs. Carey,

Please follow the guidance Carey suggested. Restart the computer aftwards. Next please visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine and validate both windows and office. Locate "Validate Office" button in the upper right hand corner and click on it. Next do the same with "Validate Windows" located in the same corner. Should you have any problmes whatsoever please run the MGA diagnostic tool and post your results back in this thread.  The instructions are below:

Download and run the utility at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 , then click the

Windows tab, Copy to Clipboard, then paste the report into a New Post on this Forum.

Step 2 is tell us about the COA. Tell us:
    1. What edition of Windows XP is it for, Home, Pro, or Media Center?
    2. Does it read "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" in black lettering?
    3. Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?
    4. DO NOT post the Product Key.
    5. Please also provide a short description of the issue you are experiencing.

NOTE: The data collected with the Genuine Diagnostics Tool does NOT contain any information that can

personally identify you and can be fully reviewed, by you, before being posted.

Thank you and have a super weekend Mrs. Carey.

  • Please uninstall the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 program.  Since this program does not have a valid license (product key), that is why the non-genuine message appears.
