SyncToy 2.1 not backing up all files - not sure which ones?

SyncToy appears to not be backing up all my files. When I check the number of files and folders using properties in Windows Explorer, it has a different number of files and folders that what SyncToy is backing up. This is not the first time I've noticed such a discrepancy.
I am using ECHO. All files included, no files excluded. I haven't been able to determine which files are not being backup up.
Here is an example in backing up "My Documents" in Windows 7 Professional.
In SyncToy folder pairs from original syncing: 1,912 folders - 21,855 filesIn Properties on Left folder: 1,912 folders - 22,171 files 36.9 GB
In Properties on right folder: 1,912 - 21,855 files 34.2 GB
So it looks like about 316 files aren't being backed up, equaling about 3.7 GB.
This is a huge concern, and I haven't been able to figure out if it's a certain type of file or file extension or anything. Appreciate any help out there. Thank you!

Assuming you do not have any exceptions setup, and you do have the option to sync/copy system files enabled I do not see any other direct reason not to backup all your files.
You can run a file comparison tool, such as winmerge (you also can Bing it for portable version). This should tell you which files are missing from the backup directory. If your looking for a MS solution the one I have eard, not tested is Windiff utility.
Hope this helps.
