laggy sql server connection for vb.net apps
-
Donnerstag, 20. November 2008 18:30I've developed a number of small vb.net applications using Visual Studio 2008 that connect to a local sql server database (hosted by SQL Server 2005 Express). These applications run quite quickly if I have SSMS or the Visual Studio 2008 development environment running. If I run any of the programs when SSMS or Visual Studio 2008 is not open they are painfully slow. In both instances I'm launching the applications from the installed .exe and NOT running them in debug mode within the development environment. I'm not sure why having VS2008 or SSMS running in the background would impact the performance.. Where should I post this? Thanks.
