Adding custom tasks for node template creation?

  Hi,

    Is it possible to add custom tasks that is part of node template creation as mentioned in the link below http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff919443(WS.10).aspx#BKMK_TaskList

   Actually I am trying to add custom activities as part of the below set of activities Provisioning , Configuration , Deployment and Maintenance . Is the customization feasible ?
