  • There have been many reports on nVidia drivers for the Win 7 beta 7000 build. Try the newest drivers when the Release Candidate is available.

  • Try downloading the Nvidia Display driver software off Nvidia's site: http://www.nvidia.com/page/pg_55937.html.

See if you are able to install the above driver successfully (without going through Windows Update.

    Hope this helps!

  • I suspect the issue may be that the latest drives do not specifically say they support  the NVS120M which is installed in my Dell Latitude D820 laptop computer. I have searched the NVIDIA website and can only find the driver update for the desktop computers.

  • I'm getting this same error from Windows Update, and I'm using the RC of Windows 7. Windows Update is offering me NVIDIA drivers for the Geoforce Go 6150 (used in my HP TX2000 Tablet PC). The drivers were released in March 2009 and published into Windows Update on the 8th April 2009.

  • I have updated my DELL XPS Gen 5 to Windows 7 RC build 7100. Windows update downloaded the driver  for the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 prerelease WDDM 1.0, working fine without problems.
