Thursday, 1 November 2007 5:17 AMIt is not on my Treo 750 device (with WM 5). In fact my connection is temporary unavailable when I'm having an incoming call. I have upgraded to WM 6 yesterday and will try to find out if the behaviour of CoMo is different on this platform.

Answer from a MS Coworker:
No, CoMo 2007 does not change the presence state if you use your mobile phone to make a phone call. CoMo 2007
is not integrate to the mobile phone on that level. However if you click to call one of your contacts it will use your
GSM stack or equivalent to make the call.
My tests confirmed it (different Windows Mobile 5/6 based T-Mobile PDA's, data connection with GPRS). Does anyone get different results?
Best Regards,
Joerg

You are right, I also asked someone from Ask the Experts on IT Forum and indeed there is no integration between the communicator client and the phone application.
This may change in furture releases as I have read something about Windows Mobile 6 R2
Lots of new Video and Voip features there
