XP shutdown overnight

Wednesday, 15 September 2010 1:59 PMI just lost a day's worth of work because you felt the need to shut my computer down overnight. Autosaved versions are gone. Thanks that cost me about a grand. WHY DO YOU PUSH RESTARTS WHY WHY WHY IT'S NOT YOUR COMPUTER

You have the option to not install updates automatically - you also have the option to save your work before leaving the workstation.This has nothing - as far as I can see - to do with Windows Genuine, merely Windows Updates.If you want assistance with controlling Windows Updates, I suggest that you post in an appropriate forum.http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/threads would be a good place to start.
