Proposed Project Server My Tasks or My Timesheet problem

    When clicking the notes icon next to the Task Name or the task name in the My tasks view an unexpected error occurs.  It happens to all the users in the company. It is set to the single entry mode. How can I fix this?

    This is the feedback on the ULS logs:  'http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/PWA/SecurityCheckUserPagePermission'  - can you assist?

    Hi Ben

    The error is:  Error:  An unaxpected error has occured.  Troubleshoot issues with MicrosoftSharePointFoundation and then in the ULS logs is the above note.  It seems to me it is a user page permission - will that be Project Server or Internet issue?

    Are you having the project server 2010 with SP1/June 2011 or later CU installed ?

    Can you open the task and see the notes?

    Did you or some do a copy/paste into the notes?  If you did, this is your problem.  Sometimes when copying from WORD or EXCEL (or any application) and pasting into PWA or Project, the unprintable characters will cause problems.  Try deleting all the text in the NOTE and typing the text into the field.... SAVE and the PUBLISH..

    Do the problem still occur?

    Hi Michael

    Thanks for your feedback.  This was a brand new Project Server 2010 installation and configuration and the problem occur right from the start.  Nobody in the company can open the details on the tasks or the notes on the My Tasks page.  I have added the note field and users can type a note into the field.

    your My task web part is corrupted so you can re add my task web part.
