Custom formatting returning error with Business Intelligence excel report due to passing a variable

Wednesday, 25 April 2012 2:49 PMI have a fantastic book from Dale Howard and Gary Chefetz(Managing Enterprise Projects) that I have follwed and have an excel BI report working that passes variables to three different excel reports. It works. However, on some occassions, the variable I pass is not found in the other reports. In other words, an issue (in the issues report) does not always exist for a project that has tasks in the tasks report. So, I get an error when I try to pass the project name to the issues report....makes sense. I am trying to find out how to put a formula/code, etc., something that will just allow the issues report to be blank but not come back with the error when I pass the variable to it. Does anybody have an idea of how to do this (PS. If i need to be on another forum, certainly will do so.... did not know if this was a question i could pose here or not.) Thanks.
