I've some suggestions about the thread preview:
    1) Add a link at the end of the preview like "Collapse this thread"
    2) Add button "Reply", "Quote", "Mark as" near each post on preview mode
    3) Automatically, collapse open thread preview clicking on other thead "preview"

    Do you agree?

1 - Clicking on preview again collapses the thread.
    2 - Agree.
3 - Disagree. I might want to preview more than one thread at a time. Especially helpful for identifying duplicate threads that need to be merged together.

    1) Yes. but if thread is long I have to scroll up to click "Preview".
    3) Ok, what about adding a checkbox in the user profile to activate this option if the user want? :-)

I also like your idea for 1, especially as I use the site more to browse.

2 seems like a good idea to, would you expect the reply to come up inline or take you to the thread page followed by the reply window coming up?

I also like the ability to open up more then 1 to preview at a time.
