    Hi All.

     

    What's the policy on posting registry hacks? For example, the remove computer feature is not added. One of my clients could not start the backup after it failed once. I have a solution to this problem but what's the policy on posting un-featured solutions on the forum? Sorry if i'm beeing ignorant but i couldn't find these kinds of instructions anywhere.

    Most of the registry hacks are temporary and are not tested well enough or completely enough. Our strong recommendation is to not use registry hacks unless directly advised by a member of the team in relation to a specific problem. The problem with posting these "hacks" publicly is that people would start trying them out when they experience the same or similar issues. Most of the hacks would need step by step hand holding to work properly, and some may leave the system in a worse condition requiring even a complete reinstall. So, the rule of thumb is to not use hacks.
