Do I need to uninstall the March CTP to install teh April CTP. Is there a upgrade path ? if not can I leave the SQL DB there and will it use that or will I have to redo all the nodes again .

unfortunately there is no upgrade path betwen two v2 builds. following are the reccomended steps for installing a new v2 build:
when moving from march ctp/beta 1 - to april CTP (and any build upgrade before RTM)
1. turn all the compute nodes off
2. uninstall HPC pack from head node
3. re-install the new version on the head node
4. complete the head node configuration ( to do list)
5. Add compute node by going thru the add nodes wizard – at this point it is recommended that you build from bare metal.
6. if the compute nodes need to be pre-configured,
a. Uninstall HPC pack on compute nodes.
b. If any of the compute nodes have registered on the head node, delete the entries.
c. Reinstall the new version of HPC pack.
thanks

I would prefer not to abre metal them, I would like to keep their names, would it be possible to create a template that would do the uninstll / re install, if so could you provide an outline of how
