Can't bring headnode back online

Has anyone got any idea about this issue. I setup a small cluster, with just 9 nodes. On install the headnode was also a compute node. I changed my mind about this and wanted to make it just a headnode. So I right clicked on the node in "node management", picked "change role" and selected "none", i.e it is just a head node and won't run compute jobs. Now I can't bring the node back online, the "bring online" option is grayed out when I right click on the node.
Is there a command line alternative that I could try?
Needless to say I have rebooted and it hasn't helped.

Eric,
In your situation, the head node is "offline" only in the sense that it will not run compute jobs. It should still be functioning fine as a head node.
I agree this is a bit confusing; I'll bring it up with the team and see if we can figure out a way to make that clearer.
