MOS 2010 certification - Basic question
-
Sunday, 18 March, 2012 6:45 PMI am studying for my MOS certification. During the test, does it give you a 2nd chance if you make a mistake on a question? Also, if you finish the test early, does it give you a chance to go back to any questions you may have skipped?

No you don't get a secind chance to answer a question if you get it wrong. Yes you can go back and review questions if you have time left over. When you see answers and helpful posts, please click Vote As Helpful, Propose As Answer, and/or Mark As Answer

Got it.
So it is better to skip it rather than taking a random guess. As long as you have time left over you can always go back.

I tend to answer all the questions and mark the ones I'm not sure of as "Review". This way if I run out of time, I'm still in with a chance of getting those questions right.
You don't lose marks for answering a question wrong, it just means a wrong answer doesn't get added to your final score. have a read of the following for some more information on exam scoring http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-AU/CertGeneral/thread/47aedf10-ea1b-4628-a116-263760e4db50

Even if a question is not marked for review, you are still prompted to review your answers before ending the exam.

This is NOT correct for MOS exams - once you go past a question you cannot return to it, and there is no "Mark as review" like the MCP exams to do them again at the end as far as I recall either (having taken 4 x 2003, 5 x 2007 and one 2010 exam). You do the things asked for in the question in a 'real' application and commit your finished product at the end of each one, this is not a multiple choice type exam at all.Hope this helps.
