Support for XP & Vista

By developing the Cliplets application only for Windows 7, we're able to take advantage of the Media Foundation codecs, which are not available on earlier operating systems. We'd really love to make the Cliplets application available on earlier operating systems, but doing so would take lots of time and effort away from doing research and creating innovative new tools. Because we work in Microsoft Research, our goal is to move forward rather than spend time supporting earlier technologies like Windows XP, Windows Vista, and DirectShow.
