Answered New Organization has the RTM version on CRM 2011 UR6 on premise server

    Recently upgraded CRM 2011 on premise server to Update Rollup 6 with version number:5.0.9690.1992.

    Today I created a new organization without any issue, but the version in deployment manager says the new organization DB version is 5.0.9688.583 - the RTM version.

    Question:
    Why is the new organization DB version is not UR6? Is this expected? How to upgrade the new organization while other existing organizations are UR6 already?

    Hi, The most likely reason for this is that you havn't installed UR6 on the server with Deployment Manager that you used to create the new Org.

    Thanks for the reply, Scott, but we have only one CRM server (full) and I use the deployment manager on the same server all the time. BTW, I did the upgrading as well :-)

    I checked the application version of Microsoft.Crm.DeploymentManager that I'm using, it's 5.0.9690.1992.

    Hi Kevin,

    If you do have UR6 installed, you should see the option to update the organisation database from within Deployment Manager.
