    18 months ago I purchased from Amazon UK Office Professional 2007 which turned out to be a counterfeit copy. Amazon gave me a refund and I then purchased a genuine copy. 

    I kept the counterfeit copy in case there was any comeback and I now do not know which is the genuine copy and which is the counterfeit. I have both Product Keys if this will help.

    All advice welcome.

      look here for details of How To Tell
      The key by itself won't tell you which is genuine, you need to check the disks and packaging.

        Many thanks for your advice. I spouse I could with the one I believe to be genuine try reinstalling. I fall goes well then it is the genuine one.

          Sounds like A Plan to me! - post the MGADiag report, if you need confirmation.
          To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
          Once saved, run the tool.
          Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
          To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
