Unanswered Money not shutting down

    I am using Money version 1105, updated 2004, i have already asked this question, but no clear reply, DominicP has been very helpful, but still need help....

    When closing down it backs up ok but then there is a message saying that the operation cannot be completed.  I then have to use task manager to complete.

    Can anybody help.

    Alternativly is there another programme that i can transfer to, but i do like Money.

    Vista or Windows 7?  If so you must put your *,mny and *.mbf files in a your Documents folder (or a subfolder under Documents) and not in your Progam Files folders.

    Consider your backup file situation. Don't overwrite earlier backups, and copy your *.mny file to other media such as a USB flash drive.

    Make a repaired version of your file with File->RepairMoneyFile->StandardFileRepair level 2.

    If that does not fix it, check back for more things to try. This may include reinstalling Money 2005 if you are not in North America.
