A computer wiz friend of recommended the program Ubuntu not fully explaining that I would completely lose my ability to access my main programing. I trusted his suggestion and downloaded the program. I want MY computer back! If anyone can help me in plain English that would be spectacular. I would like to un-install the Ubuntu program which there forums have not been clear on how to do or replace it with a windows and see if that helps. Can anyone please help?!?!?

You're off topic for this forum, which is dedicated to Windows Live OneCare.
Your question may be better posed to one of the forums here, depending on your operating system.
Windows 7: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7
Vista: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsvista
XP: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsxp
On the other hand, perhaps your "friend" can take of it for you.
Basically, if you wiped the drive to install Linux, you're going to need a bootable Windows installation disc and it will then need to format the drive again and set up Windows fresh. Your PC manufacturer may have provided discs. If not, you may be out of luck and will need to purchase a new retail copy of Windows.
