    Hi,

I'm using MSP Server. I'd like to use it for CPI calculation, but I encountered important issue. Sometimes I need to correct "baseline work" to specific value, but it doesn't change the CPI. How to force recalculation after manual changing of "baseline work" value?

The ACWP value is correct (based on values entered by PWA), but the BCWP is a problem.

I can't use standard 'Set baseline' option, bacause it will put actual values into baseline and will result in CPI=1, which is not true in real. I'm changing "basline work", becasue we've made correction to initial work estimation.

    Regards

    Adam

Then you need to calculate a new baseline cost yourself. Baseline fields never recalculate, they are only ever copies of scheduled data.

I tried, but it doesn't work.

I can calculate baseline cost myself (BAC) like you wrote. I'm entering new BAC manually, but it doesn't change anything. EV and CPI are still the same, like calculated on old values.

    Here is an easy example:

    Before CPI=1

After BAC changed CPI still=1, because BCWP still the same

    Hi Adam,

Any data entered manually in Baseline Variables tampers it, baselines are not re-calculated likewise the other Variance Calculations like you mentioned about EV & CPI. EAC & BAC are the 2 values that gets recalculated with change in Baseline Work.
