    Hi Everyone,

When editing a project's Project Information using a PDP I get an error. This seems to specific to only two projects so far, both of which have data going back a few years. At first I couldn't change the owner, but if I use the OOTB ProjectInformation PDP, I can change the owner. This doesn't resolve my issue though since there is information in many other fields that needs to be updated.

Using Project Professional I can save and publish the projects

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

What patch level is your Project Server 2010 environment? Do you have at least SP1 and June 2011 CU installed on the farm?

    Thanks

Thank you for your response Paul, unfortunately we don't have SP1 installed yet, we have a project underway to accomplish this, but it's going to be at least a month before it gets approved and promoted to our production environment.

I know it is not ideal but I think the only option is to wait until you have SP1 + at least June 2011 CU installed, I seem to remember something similar for an install that was resolved when they installed SP1 + June 2011 CU.

    Thanks

    Paul

I've had this issue a few times post SP1 and June CU. Ideally raise the issue to Microsoft Premier Support if you can. As a potential workaround though i think I had to save the project as an .mpp file and then re-import it into Project Server, gave it the same name and it started to work again. You will of course need to change the PM and status manager to the correct person once you do this though.
