I have had several reports from users that when they are saving a schedule, the save process seems to hang and never complete. The user has to close out of the browser and loses and changes since their last save. I've also witnessed this happening in a training class.
It is important to note that schedules are being entered stricltly from PWA. We are not publishing from Project Pro 2010.
The last time a user called, I checked the queue from within Project Server & did not see any current save processes for that user in the queue. I've contacted our server administrator & he was not able to find any errors in the logs on the servers.
Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm not even sure how to start trouble-shooting this. Also it is impossible to replicate. Thank you.

Seems to me like performance issue. Have your DBA check SQL server logs. If possible execute sp_updatestats query on all 4 project databases to update db statistics, longer it takes to execute this query indicates databases were not statistically updated.

Do you have the latest updates on the server? We experienced this and the CU's fixed it. However we were using MS Project, and it is a fairly generic sort of error to pin down.
The sp_updatestats is a very useful thing though and makes a lot faster.
