    Hi, i did this:

    1) setup team

    2) add team members

    3) created the work generic resource, associated him with the same team name

My question is: Can i view availability of a generic resource ? (I think sum of all team members availability)
If i go to resource center the availability of generic resource is 0h (or negative number if i assign a work)

    Thanks

    Hello Petr

Generic resources are used for planning purposes and not such much for monitoring load.  So the behavior is what I would expert.

Hello Michael, thanks for your answer.

I have this issue: There is about 25 long-term projects with specific resources and i´ll plan new project using team resources. I can´t recognize if my team has any free resources and also i can´t do resource leveling.

Exist any way to do this ?

Hi, I'm having a similar problem too.

I've created a local resource (John) from MS Project, but when i save & publish to ProjServer 2010, it will save as Generic local resource instead of John .

Now i would like 2 retrieve all Task & resources assigned to a report, but i have tried on all the possible tables that might be used to store this information, what i can get is "generic local resource", where does "John" go?

But when i read the project using client tool (MS Project), John is there!!
    Anyone has any idea?
