Unanswered I am not able to access the website in webbrowser

    Hi ,

    my website opens with xx.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address till friday it was working fine..after wards not able view the site in webbrowser...what could be the problem ? how can we solve it?

    My server with this IP is working and can able to view the updated data in database ..but not able to view, or open the page of website.before the website under IIS configuration was stooped and now started again..still no use..am couldnt view Login page at all.Kindly give me any suggestion to this...its very urgent...

    1. Login to Server which Hosts this website

    2. Go to IIS

    3. Try to browse the website from there

    Thanks for the prompt reply...i am not able to browse the main page in IIS manager..

    It showing below error:

    the page cannot be displayed.

    is it setting the deafult page problem? or some other problem?

    Are you able to browse SharePoint Central Administration?

     I get same page cannot be displayed::Error

    This program cannot display the webpage
       
       Most likely causes:
    You are not connected to the Internet.
    The website is encountering problems.
    There might be a typing error in the address.
     
       What you can try:
         Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.  
     
         Retype the address.  
     
         Go back to the previous page.
     
         More information

    This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

    Internet connectivity has been lost.
    The website is temporarily unavailable.
    The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
    The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.

    Can u pls let me know how to check the Event logs for server and checking managed service accounts used for running the application pools are not locked in Server. Because am not aware of it..

    Log in to the Server which hosts this site and Go to Server Manager.

    Under Diagnostics>Event Viewer>Windows Logs>Application and check for Errors.

    Try accessing the web page and refresh the logs. It will show you errors. Read through the latest errors one by one.

    Also go to Configuration>Services and check if the World Wide Web Publishing service is in running mode.

    Hi Sir,

    I could not find server manager in server. only server management is there .Under server management  could not find diagnostics nor configuration tab.How can do this?

    1. Can you please tell me version of your Operating System

    2. What is the purpose of the site which you are referring to? i.e. which website is this, based on which paltform

    Another thing I would recommend is that if this is a critical application and scenario for you then contact professional support personnel from IT.

    MS windows server 2003.

    using for small business..we can monitor only data in the website. developed in class asp .

    To access Event Viewer in Windows Server 2003:

    1. Go to Start>Run

    2. Type eventvwr and click ok

    3. Check for logs

    This forum is for Project Server. Probably posting it in Windows Server Administration or IIS forum will give you quick and useful response on this.

    with the eventvwr command i can see the logs for application, security,system, Directory service,DNSs ervice,Filereplication server..

    how to find the error in logs?

    Go to Application and check if you are receiving any error messages there while you try accessing the website.

    Error messages are regarding pop3connector or MSExchangeIs Mailboxstore but not regarding the website application error !
