    Hi all,

    I have been trying to connect my XP to WHS 2011 with no luck. No problem with the network, able to ping, access the shared drive and etc.

    Below is a the log from the Event Viewer. The installation record the similar event few rounds before it decides to exit the installation.

    Seems there is a WCF service trying to execute calls but timing out for some reasons.

    Any suggestion?

    Search on the web for ServicesPipeTimeout with WHS 2011 and XP.   Old, slow computers have problems with starting all the .Net 4.0 infrastructure services within the default 30sec timeout.  You need to change the timeout value and then it should work.
