  • Look for a COA sticker on the back, side or bottom of your computer, it should say what version of windows is supposed to be on your system, insure it matches the version installed. If so you can do one of two things.

    1. Enter that key in the activation section of system properties, type slui 4 in the search box of the start menu, select country, dial the number but DO NOT enter a menu options, wait for an operator to pick up, activate by phone.

    2. Or you can call the manufacturer, tell them that you bought a computer with windows 7 installed but your bios does not have the correct SLP marker and it will not activate, they should get your the correct bios so SLP activation will work.

If you bought it from a local shop you could also take it to them and make them fix it.

Your Product Key should be attached to your computer on the COA sticker.
Please repost your own problem in your OWN NEW thread, and include a copy of your MGADiag report.
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
