I have written a VB6 application that writes data to an Excel Workbook - and it all works fine.
But if the user closes Excel (clicks the red cross at the top right corner) while my application is running then obviously my application cannot continue to write data but that's fine - I've error trapped it and it just carrys on doing other stuff.
My worry is that if the user now clicks ANY Excel file anywhere in the folder structure (not even connected with my application) then Excel does not open properly - it seems to contain a sortof image of whatever is on the screen
at the time - Very strange & unsatisfactory! This condition remains until my application is closed, then Excel returns to normal. My OS is XP and my Excel is 2000.
Can anybody tell me how to fix this problem? I'm really stuck! Thanks Rod

Sorry but VB6 is not supported here, but Google will provide many 3rd party forums who will be happy to help.Sorry if my replies are a bit brief but i feel we learn more if we have to think about things. A small clue is better than a spoiler.
